How easy does the insurer nake it for you to report an accident and get your vehicle repaired quickly and professionally? Do they let you find your own repairer? Is the courtesy car available immediately and is there a time-limit in the event that you will need to get a new car? If you have an older vehicle, make a judgment on whether you need costly fully comprehensive insurance rather than just third party. This could save you a lot of money, but of course you will be liable for your own repairs if you damage your own car, and you may not get the added 'perks' of some comprehensive policies such as the use of a courtesy car in the event of your car being out of action.
